WAVING FLAG

MEDS Workshop, Gent Belgium (2017)

Inspired by Gent's urban haven a large scale art installation was created using a variety of image making and print production techniques. Each aspect of the flag represented an aspect of what we experienced as a group over the course of the 2 week residency. Through thorough exploration of the local area, its history and what it stands for we worked to break down the main characteristics of the city in a way that was visually accessible and high impact even from a distance as it would be viewed when installed, Rather than focussing on details we worked in strong, graphic shapes.
